My most recent tattoo I drew was from a competition at createmytattoo. The contest inspiration is a memorial for a brother. He was looking for a tattoo of a lion to help capture how he was, dominant and strong… and this is what I came up with. I was a great idea behind a tattoo and I really enjoyed doing it, and Ryan the contest holder loved what I did. I must admit competition was fierce and there were some really awesome entries. So I was very pleased when I won:)
I really enjoy designing for createmytattoo because it gives me chance to do something different, and push the boundries. It does not matter whether I win or not, its all about entering and trying.

By putting together a description of your tattoo idea and any images you have, to give the artist an idea of what you are looking for. Not forgetting the size of the tattoo, placement on the body, color requirements and prize money you can create a competition. Then its time for you to sit back, enjoy and watch the creations come in. At the end of the competition you get to chose your favorite design and the artist then releases your tattoo design so you can take to your chosen tattooist.

I don’t know what I could add to your blog to be honest, I mean this is a memorial tattoo, it might be so simple but it has a lot of thought behind it, even if someone see’s it just as another tattoo, to the recipient it will always remind them of the value behind the tattoo, not only a brother lost but the strength he brought out in me and dominance he had over any situation…. A lion is seen to have such beauty but such more hides behind its eyes, that is the reason for the design, and something you illustrated perfectly….”
